A forever student

As a student, teacher, parent, old or young, no matter what degree you hold or how smart you are, you’ll stay a student till the end of time. The ability to learn is a blessing, it’s gaining knowledge or a skill in something by studying or experiencing situations in life. It’s never a burden, a lot of us miss judge the learning process because we see it as something mysterious and human by his nature fear what he doesn’t know, see or feel.

It takes a strong mentality and a ferocious ambition to seek for what’s new, for what takes you to an existing journey of challenges, ups and downs to find pieces of you in each leap.

Human was born to live, to grow and to leave his mark in this world, with an open mind and a good perspective of accepting new things that we learn every day to make the future and the appreciation of what our ancestors taught us. It’s an endless wall to be built but the question is ‘how?’. The answer is simple and clear, the person must ignite the passion of discovering and learning inside him, not just reading or learning what’s in a curriculum or a program. It’s more fun and appealing than that, it can be anywhere, anytime and by any way.

Let’s take an example, if you are at work or school you meet friends, co-workers , teachers and so on…..they don’t have the same culture, way of thinking and beliefs as yours ,some of us see it as an obstacle and a way to lock yourself up in isolation , but the right thing is to start with is love and acceptance, love yourself at first, love where you are and then you’ll  see things clearly, because you’ll be able to realise  that acceptance is one of the learning main  keys. By accepting  who you are  with your imperfections, you’ll manage to accept others differences and that’s  the point when you start taking knowledge from everyone and everything around you and the differences that you saw once as a threat, become a source of  curiosity ,just like feeding a hungry stomach. This curiosity  of wanting more, opening  the window to be informed will make you less judgemental and more comprehensive .That’s when you develop  tolerance  and you won’t see people as enemies and  odds to what you believe in,  you’ll see them as a fresh experience to go through , a  good way to   cooperate with others ,to make a good team during life adventure   because you are aware of the fact that a person can never live alone ,he represents community as being a part of it. When you see knowledge and seeking for it as something happens all the time, you’ll put a priority  to how you can project it in real life,  that means you’ll start protesting ,telling your opinion out loud and  fighting for what you believe in. Passing though messages that can fix many ways of thinking, guide lost minds or a faithless hearts. Instead of only being a thoughts consumer, use what you have learnt to produce a valuable extract that you can transmit it to the next generations. If you see,  This is  what our religion asked  us to do 1442 years ago , not just  as a choice but as a religious obligation .Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him encouraged  intellectual curiosity , critical thinking and  the continuous learning. In hadith, ’’whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to paradise’’.  Learning starts form the moment you open your eyes in this life until your last breath that is why you are a forever student.
